James McCarthy earned his Masters in Education from Harvard and Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Hawaii Manoa. He is a Master Teaching Artist in the state of Hawaii with more than fifteen years experience in this capacity.
He designs and teaches exceptionally effective and engaging integrated arts experiences across the curriculum using time tested techniques and unique innovations. These Deepened Engagement Strategies provide opportunities for students to live their learning kinesthetically while engaging in increasingly complex processes of inquiry.
